My healthy lifestyle journey began about 2 years ago when I was having no luck losing the extra 35 pounds I was carrying after my second child was born.  Then a dear friend (April Willer, co-founder of the Healthy Edge) cared enough about me to help guide me in the right direction.  What happened in my life over the next year was truly amazing. 

I started taking a pharmaceutical grade nutritional supplement, I slowly completed what the 7-week course offered by The Healthy Edge, and my life has totally transformed.

The knowledge I have gained about really living a healthy lifestyle, I have a new passion to share this with others.  My initial weight release goal was 35 pounds.  I never dreamed that I could ever again be the size I was at age 18, but I released over 50 pounds in about a year.  I am now as thin and healthy as I was just after high school.  I have successfully kept it off and now as a facilitator of The Healthy Edge course, I have coached dozens of other people through their transition to a healthy lifestyle as well.

Nothing will wake you up like hitting 40, but 41 is even a bigger eye opener! Starting my family later in life, I have three young children at home requiring much of my time and attention. My daily struggle is to keep all of my plates spinning at the same time – work, kids, home, relationship – and attempt to have some sort of life for myself.

I discovered the “F” word (Forty) not to be so bad. Well, it certainly wasn’t fatal! I discovered a new part of my life beginning, a healthier life. I needed to release about 30 pounds and had a strong desire to see what my body could do (and look like) at 40. I began my new Healthy Edge lifestyle and was amazed not only that it worked but that it was easy!

I have more energy during the day, I have released over 40 pounds and I am able to easily manage my weight. I developed a passion for running, began training for triathlons and even started playing hockey with the men!  I skate circles around the twenty-something and I think I feel better than most of them!  I even sleep better, which is a necessity in my life. All of these improvements have led to a major transformation in my mood (with fewer swings to the dark side) which is probably the best perk for my family and friends.
