Healthy Eating Doesn’t Taste Good

I think it is time for some real diet lessons that do not involve doing something that you will eventually stop doing. One of the most common objections I get from people is “healthy food doesn’t taste good”. Wow! What a statement. With this mindset every time someone says the word “healthy” they immediately relate it to something that is negative. Let’s look a little deeper into why this type of a mindset is so destructive.

Diet lesson #1: If you go on a diet you have to come off the diet and then what? The reason diets do not work is because they are a quick fix that people get all excited about only to burn out on in the upcoming months.

Diet lesson #2: You don’t need a diet you need a lifestyle. What is most important is what is going on in between your ears than what is in your fridge. If you do not view yourself as a healthy person you will continue to lead a lifestyle that an unhealthy person leads. It is so important to realize that health is a lifelong journey not a diet that starts and stops. Diet lesson #3: Accountability is key. Without accountability it is impossible to create change.
